Since the splitting of Croatian Post and Telecommunications into Croatian Post Inc and Croatian Telecommunications Inc on 01 January 1999, Croatian Post has been functioning as an independent company with share capital, continuing the tradition and continuity of postal activity in the territory of the Republic of Croatia. As economic activity post has always been different from all other kinds of productive activities since its final goal is of general interest. Thus, Croatian Post has until today, as a modern economic activity, preserved that basic characteristic of its purpose and its relation to users.
